Tenthpin and AWS Co-Innovate to Deliver Game-Changing Solutions for Life Sciences
Table of content
DATE — Tenthpin, a leading consultancy and software innovator in Life Sciences, is proud to reveal its successful partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The first cornerstone of the collaboration was the development of the AI-powered solution, Tenthpin Intelligent Certificate VerificAItion (T/ICV). As new industry standard solution, T/ICV is designed to dramatically accelerate, automate and strengthen certificate verification for pharmaceutical manufacturers and their supply partners.
This co-innovation underscores Tenthpin’s commitment to delivering high-impact, compliant digital solutions that directly address challenges faced by Life Sciences organizations and other highly regulated industries.

AWS: A solid foundation for the Life Sciences value chain
Tenthpin chose AWS for its robustness, scalability, and transparent cost structure; essential qualities in a regulated environment like the Life Sciences industry. Combining Tenthpin’s Life Sciences expertise with AWS’s technological know-how was a no brainer, forming a foundation for which the partnership could easily flourish.
AWS’s architecture proved pivotal during the development of T/ICV, and demonstrated a clear blueprint of how it could be utilized in other future software collaborations. For example, services like Amazon Bedrock, AWS Lambda and Amazon Aurora were essential components for T/ICV to ingest specification and certificate documents, extract, compare, and flag deviations, and surface results in workflow tasks. Without this partnership, T/ICV would not be able to meet the requirements that Tenthpin envisioned.
Speaking about the collaboration, Thomas Weber, Chief Product Officer at Tenthpin, stated: “Collaborating closely with the AWS team, we can get the latest information, choose the right technologies, and tap into expert guidance. With support from AWS, we’ve increased the development speed and stability of T/ICV.”
How the partnership meets the challenge of certificate verification in Life Sciences
The flow between specifications (issued by pharma) and certificates (issued by contract manufacturers or suppliers) is critical. Each purchased batch must be validated to ensure its certificate aligns with the specification: any mismatch, even subtle, must be evaluated, documented, and resolved.
Traditionally, teams manually review hundreds of thousands of certificates per year and often apply “four-eyes” (dual review) checks to mitigate errors. This is laborious, slow, and prone to fatigue.
Recognizing this as both a pain point and an opportunity, Tenthpin set out to reimagine the process via generative AI and cloud architecture – with AWS forming an essential part of delivering on this mission.
T/ICV shows what the partnership can deliver
The resulting T/ICV solution delivers up to 95 percent time savings over manual comparisons and achieves near-100 percent accuracy in matching certificates to specifications. Built on a GxP-ready AWS architecture, the solution ensures compliance through embedded audit trails and robust security. The flexible, multi-tenant setup enables new clients to onboard in as little as two weeks, significantly faster than traditional deployments.
For Life Sciences clients, this means faster and more reliable batch release processes, helping prevent production delays and ensuring supply continuity. It also translates into reduced operational risk and improved quality control, as the AI-driven approach minimizes the likelihood of human oversight while maintaining full traceability.
By converting certificate data into structured information, Life Sciences organizations can unlock valuable insights, detect trends, and continuously improve quality performance. Thomas Weber touches on how big this is: “The certificates in T/ICV have given us access to data points in a structured format, which our customers didn’t have earlier. This is a game changer that we didn’t consider when we began, but our next release will focus on using this data and connecting it to additional systems.”
Looking ahead
The AWS–Tenthpin collaboration has already empowered Life Sciences companies, as Thomas Weber further highlights: “Customers say that T/ICV is simple to use and reliable because it generates a workflow task that must be completed to move to the next stage. It has increased quality and reduced risk for our customers.”
However, this is just the beginning. The success of T/ICV in alleviating pain points in the Life Sciences value chain opens the opportunity for further developments that will become standard software solutions in their own right.
For T/ICV, work is taking place on future releases that will expand verification capabilities to other certificate types, and include advanced analytics and reporting features – all to strengthen quality management across their ecosystems.
With AWS as a trusted innovation partner, Tenthpin will continue to pioneer digital solutions that combine deep industry expertise with cutting-edge cloud and AI technologies.
